Renowned painter and woodblock print artist Yoshida Hiroshi is celebrated as an expert among shin-hanga printmakers who integrated modern influences in realism and lighting into traditional Japanese technique. Hiroshi trained in oil painting before embracing woodblock printing—his work, a thoughtful blend of Eastern and Western styles.
