During a 9 year period of time in the 1800s, five artists decided to experiment creatively in Asnières along the Seine.  The lovely landscape of Asnières contrasted with the factories appearing on the opposite side of the river, causing many artists to illustrate the view. This book offers an in-depth look at the work these artists produced while at Asnières as well as a detailed map of their painting locations.
