This work, which marks a shift in Monet’s artistic vision, represents the final years of his career. It’s strikingly different from his earlier Water Lilies paintings that you may already be familiar with. As Monet’s style evolved, his compositions became larger, more abstract, and increasingly experimental. Water Lilies, Reflections of Weeping Willows is a prime example of this transformation. What makes this addition even more special is that it’s on loan from a private collection and is being displayed in New England for the first time ever.
