Between November of 1881 and July of 1890, Vincent van Gogh painted almost 900 paintings. Since his death, he has become one of the most famous painters in the world. He mastered many paintings, forming stages of his brief career, spanning from the famous, intensely-colored portraits he painted in France, to the little-known but striking studies of characters that he encountered in his native Netherlands.
Reproductions of 5 classic paintings from the master, including Houses at Auvers, Postman Joseph Roulin, Enclosed Field with Ploughman, Ravine, and Lullaby: Madame Augustine Roulin Rocking a Cradle (La Berceuse) all from the Museum's collection.
