Our graphic tote bag showcases the work of Boston-born artist Loïs Mailou Jones. Her eye-catching imagery depicts a young woman from the Tai Region of Liberia whose face is painted for the initiation into womanhood. This work symbolizes Jones's reclamation of her African heritage following a trip she took to Africa when she was in her sixties.
