Exuberant colorist Alma Thomas created glowing, mosaic-like artworks. She explored expressionist, abstract, and nonobjective phases of art. In her mature style, she focused on bold, splashy paintings and was inspired by nature and the happenings of her day, particularly space exploration of the 1960s. In the 12 paintings featured in this calendar, her lifelong study of color theory sparkles.
